What to Wear
Cathy Stephens

Ragtime CoupleJoin us as we celebrate the popular dances of each decade, including quadrilles and two-steps of the 1890s, the One Step and novelty dances of the Ragtime Era, and the foxtrot and the dramatic tango and blues of the 1920s. And for waltz lovers, we'll dance waltzes that were popular through the decades. Cathy Stephens will lead a "brush up" workshop before the general dancing as well as the afternoon of dancing. Music will be provided by the fabulous Huron Valley Serenaders, featuring Jon Milan, Mike Karoub, and Tommy Bogardus.

Period costumes are encouraged but not required. For our afternoon Tea Dance, we suggest period "walking whites", one of your favorite costumes from the 1890s through the 1920s, or any attire suitable for an afternoon tea party.
